Your generous contributions assisted in the purchase of state of the art equipment and much needed refurbishment.

The new telemetry units have arrived and are a resounding success at PRH.

Frances Barnes, Head of Midwifery, shared the following feedback: “Absolutely fantastic news. Please can you send my heartfelt thanks to the League of Friends. This will make a significant difference to our birthing people’s experience by enabling greater mobility in labour. Speaking from experience, this makes a huge difference.”

Laura Powles (a PRH midwife), described how much more comfortable it is to be able to mobilise freely. Harbour Midwife Erin also reports a noticeable improvement in both usability and the quality of the CTG trace.

Further feedback from Midwife Hollie highlighted the benefit of the telemetry’s additional capacity to support the use of a fetal scalp electrode, reducing the need for further intervention.

Thank You

A big thank you to the Heart of Sussex Bridge Club, in Hassocks, who held a charity bridge evening on our behalf on 21st April. A huge thank you for their attendance and donations.

Also a thank you to Great Walstead school, who let us attend their Walstock music festival on 10th May where we raffled a huge teddy bear. Thank you to all the children, parents and staff who made it a fun afternoon.
